I'm an instructional designer, science librarian, and library leader (although not necessarily in that order!).  Currently, I serve as the Head of Library Learning Services at Penn State University Libraries, which basically means I get to work with a great team to provide vision and direction for our teaching and learning program. Read more about this team's exciting work on the Penn State Libraries website

Because I can't get enough of teaching, I also teach (online) courses on reference and information literacy in the Syracuse University iSchool graduate program. More about this work and these courses are available on the Syracuse iSchool website

I'm an INTJ, an I DISC Style Personality Style, and my top five StrengthsFinder 2.0 strengths are (1) Input (2) Achiever (3) Learner (4) Competition (5) Significance.

My research interests include the appropriate use of new and emerging technologies in higher education, instructional design, scholarly communications, library leadership, organizational change, and the history of libraries and information science.

Outside the library, I still cheer for the Hokies and enjoy visiting new places, practicing yoga, drinking wine, posting pictures of food, cats, and travels on Instagram, and of course, reading! Check out my current reading list on Goodreads.

Here are links to media appearances, press releases, and some nice things people have said about me (hey, thanks!):
